new site & shop | know your hotkeys posters

I'd been messing around with the idea of these Know Your Hotkeys posters for a long time - I'm excited to finally put them out into the world!

Keyboard shortcuts and hotkeys are a considerable timesaver in the design process, and there are plenty of lesser known ones to add to your arsenal. Inspired by World War II PSA posters, my goal was to make these informational and helpful - but also visually interesting enough to display in a workspace.

And of course, in the process of setting up an online shop for the posters, I couldn't resist taking the opportunity to give my website a refresh . . . and my blog template a matching overhaul. Check out my whole site here!

I had the opportunity to design the Coalition Against Hunger's SEPTA annual campaign again this year - and here are the results. They have been up for some time now, but it's taken an unprecedented weather event to give me the spare time to share them with you. There's been plenty going on the past few months! time flies when you're designing science

It's pretty hard to believe, but today marked my 1 year of working at The Franklin Institute! It feels like I've been there for such a short time and a long time simultaneously. Temporal anomalies aside, here are a few projects I've worked on at the museum over the past few months:

One super cool project I was thrilled to work on was creating graphics for a display case near the planetarium. It holds two artifacts from The Franklin Institute that were flown on space shuttle missions, as well as photo collages presented to the museum for each of the missions it was involved in. I created a timeline of the shuttle program as the background image, as well as laid out the artifact labels. See the details after the jump:

• It's been up for a while, but I've finally worked out most of the bugs with my

spice typography

I'm working on some branding design for a spice store, for one of my classes this semester. I've been creating some textures and typography from the actual spices, using the hand-drawn logo type as a stencil.
