As a big fan of the first installment, Fingerprint: The Art of Using Hand-Made Elements in Graphic Design, I decided to send in some submissions when I saw the call for entries. I thought it was a total shot in the dark, but the first edition had such a big impact on me and my junior travel fellowship proposal, I thought it was worth a try! I am elated that one of my pieces got in. It's my Beauty is Relative poster shown here:
I created the collage image with paper doll cutouts, dry cleaner receipts, text book pages, gesso, charcoal and tissue paper.
In my little package was a pack of amazing letterpressed postcards with different illustrations and quotes about the theme of the book - which are just great. See a few more after the jump!
I'm so excited to be in a legit design book - I can't wait for it to come out! :)
wooo hoooo!!! way to go brigette!!!!
